Bagpipe Performance and Instruction

in the Detroit Metropolitan Area

Greetings, and thanks for stopping by!

I am a professional bagpiper in the Detroit metropolitan area. I have been a serious student of bagpipes and traditional Celtic music for over 35 years. My playing is of the highest caliber, the result of years of study that include lessons from some of the greatest pipers of my time, including the late John MacFadyen and the late John MacLellan, former head of the Army School of Piping at Edinburgh Castle. When I played with the Scottish Society of Windsor Pipe Band in the late 1970s we won the North American Champion and the Ontario Champion Supreme titles, among many other awards. I am currently a member of the St. Andrew's Pipe Band in Detroit.

I offer traditional and contemporary music of Scotland, Ireland, and Cape Breton played on Highland Bagpipes, Scottish Smallpipes, and Border Pipes.

I have played for numerous weddings, funeral and memorial services, house parties, golf tournaments, and other similar functions.

Feel free to look around the site. There's plenty of ideas of ways bagpipe music can be used to enhance celebrations of many kinds - those for which there exists a tie to Celtic traditions as well as those for which we'll be creating one.
